In the first decades after its founding in 1946, Schwanog has earned a good reputation in the market as a manufacturer of high-quality carbide tools and measuring instruments as well as in mechanical engineering.

At the beginning of the nineties, we decided to focus on profile tools with interchangeable puncture plates as a “lancing plate manufacturer” with a self-developed system. The courage to do so gave us the significant cost savings that can be achieved over standard tools. And this economic advantage continues to be the driving force of our success today.

The basis for this are our piercing tools and systems, which are always based on a Schwanog holder and a Schwanog tool blank. Part-specific contours are individually ground and eroded into this blank. Typical lot sizes of our piercing tools are for us quantities of 3 to 50 profile plates per order and piercing tool. With this innovative idea, we have made the breakthrough to one of the world’s leading slotting plate manufacturers in this market segment within just a few years. In the meantime, more than 100,000 tools according to customer drawings are an expression of our experience and performance.

With more than 100 qualified specialists, our own technology and training center at the main site in VS-Obereschach, as well as continuous investments in production and process optimization, we are able to act quickly and flexibly at any time and deliver the custom-made piercing tools in the shortest possible time.
