Universal Robots develops and manufactures flexible, intuitive and cost-effective lightweight robots. Headquartered in Odense, Denmark, our company was founded with the declared goal of making robotics accessible to every business – especially small and medium-sized industrial companies. Today, Universal Robots is a pioneer in lightweight robotics and human-robot collaboration and is one of the top 50 most innovative companies in the world, according to the MIT Technology Review.

Our robots UR3, UR5 and UR10 – named for their carrying capacity – were launched between 2008 and 2015. So far, over 21,000 of the collaborative robotic arms have been sold. Many of them work, after previous risk analysis, without protective fence in close proximity to humans. As a result, the lightweight robots can take on monotonous or tedious tasks and help to reduce employment-related illnesses and make the working environment safer.
