About us
Folian gmbh is a family-owned and owner-operated foil printing company based in Stralsund, directly on the Baltic coast. With more than 140 employees, folian gmbh specializes in the production of printed, unprinted and finished packaging films for the food industry.

Folian gmbh prints various film qualities / film composites in 10 + 1 color flexo printing and achieves gravure-near printing results with the self-developed printing process flg® (flexo like gravure).

Since the spring of 2015, the customer motifs can be printed not only with solvent inks, but also with water-based inks. The water colors are more environmentally friendly, not only in terms of their ingredients. In the processing process at folian gmbh, printing with watercolors requires less energy. Compared to solvent processing, this translates into CO2 savings of up to 76%.

From spring 2016, folian offers its customers the option of climate-neutral printing: Using a CO2 calculator developed in collaboration with ClimatePartner, the CO2 emissions of each customer order can be calculated and compensated by participating in selected environmental projects.
