With around 1,500 employees and 8 production sites in Germany and abroad, HERZ is one of the most important European manufacturers of valves, fittings, controls and thermostatic valves for domestic installation in the heating, cooling, sanitary and gas installation sectors. In addition, HERZ is also a leading producer of boilers for biomass and heat pump manufacturers.

As early as 1896, the foundation stone of today’s HERZ Armaturen GmbH was laid by founding the Gebauer & Lehrner valve factory.

Herzgasse in Vienna-Favoriten – the company’s first headquarters – later became the namesake of today’s global corporation. From its Austrian headquarters in Vienna, HERZ offers consistency, reliability and continuity through a clearly defined mission statement, well-established and practiced quality management, competent and motivated employees and regular personal contact at all levels.

Decades of experience and specialization in the field of heating and control technology provide the basis for the development of innovative products with successful solutions in technology and design. HERZ is today a complete supplier for the HVAC sector, all products are manufactured in EU countries in order to meet the quality requirements placed on HERZ products.

Training and further education is the heart of the HERZ company. Students from vocational schools and HTLs to students from colleges and construction universities are guests in our training centers. Important here are not only the theory, but also the practical handling and international networking. Since HERZ operates in Europe as well as university institutions in Central Asia, the company also offers young people the opportunity for international exchange. In this sense, HERZ is also a service provider that trains and trains plumbers and thus significantly contributes to the qualification of employees in this sector.

Proof of this commitment is the work written by Prof. Jauschowetz “The HEART of hot water heating – the hydraulics”, which has now been translated into 13 languages.
