Why a Hybrid Propulsion-Energy System?
The autonomy in 100% electric propulsion may be insufficient for certain applications.

Hybrid solutions can work alternately or jointly in Electric and Thermal mode

In the case where the operating conditions of the ship including fast connections and slow phases (port, excursion, work ..) can alternately operate in electrical or thermal mode.

In the case where the operating conditions intermittently require a supplement of power (passage in strong current …) or a supplement of autonomy (extended days ..), one can associate the thermal energy with the energy stored electric (booster or range extender)
