What is OPW doing?
OPW – Oberndorfer Präzisions Werk Founded in 1951, we have combined precision with the highest level of precision in manufacturing metrology for 60 years. An OPW Engineering AG, a representative office in China and several agencies worldwide, stand for a partner that is characterized by innovation and continuous development.

For our customers, we are the problem solver and partner for metrological issues and produce with a vertical range of up to 98%: measuring devices, special gages, SPC measuring stations, pneumatic measuring technology, measuring automation, software, setting gauges, calottes and spheres as well as gauges for testing and measurement their products. We offer the maintenance, repair and calibration of our products as an additional service.

With the production of cataloged hand-held measuring devices for the dimensional length measuring technology such. As vernier calipers, micrometers, straighteners, jigs, etc., the company has quickly created a good name in the 50s.

With the retirement of the former Mauser employees, who were primarily employed since the foundation, a realignment of the production program into more profitable business areas was gradually introduced in the 1970s.

Today, about 65 employees almost exclusively produce so-called special gauges, measuring devices, pneumatic measuring technology, measuring automation, setting masters and SPC measuring stations for testing and measuring workpieces and tools.

Special gauges are understood to mean the gauges, measuring devices, testing devices, measuring devices, which are not cataloged in dimensional length measuring technology. Ä., Which we make both according to customer drawings, as well as our designs. The spectrum ranges from simple good / reject gauges to fully automated measuring stations.

The general contractor for the installation of test stations within production lines is also transferred to us. Here we deliver the engineering, the construction, the manufacturing, the assembly and the software up to the commissioning in different locations of the world.
