UBE IN EUROPE

UBE has been present in Europe for 50 years and currently has an annual turnover of over 366 million euros. This corresponds to a tripling of sales in the last ten years. Total investment for the period from 1994 to 2014 amounts to 256 million euros, making UBE one of the leading chemical companies in the EU.

Our locations in Europe are in Spain “UBE Corporation S.A. Unipersonal” and Germany “UBE Europe GmbH”.

From Europe, our company supplies extensive product lines, such as Caprolactam (the raw material for nylon or polyamide 6), ammonium sulphate and UBESOL 45, a granulated fertilizer with a wide range of uses. In addition, this area manufactures 1,6-hexanediol, 1,5 pentanediol, polycarbonate diol and other fine chemical products.

UBE specializes in the production of polyamide 6, 12 and copolyamides. The application possibilities lie in the production of food packaging, monofilaments, components of the automotive industry and development of consumer goods.

From Düsseldorf, UBE markets more than 200 high-tech products in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. This includes e.g. Die Casting Machines, Synthetic Rubber for the Tire Industry, Electronic Ceramics Components, UPILEX ® Polyimide (Film, Powder and Foam) Si3N4 and MgO Powders, Gas Separation Membranes, SiC Fibers, etc.

In the case of UBE Chemical Europe S.A. Employees have an average tenure of 11 years. Continuing education is of significant importance in order to respond efficiently to the requirements of the industry. 35% of employees have completed a university degree or equivalent.
