About us
Be it strip resistance, compact resistance, braking resistance, frame resistance or steel grid resistance – HEINE Resistors has stood for top technology in power resistance for more than one hundred years – Made in Germany.
It all began in 1904 with the founding of an arc-resistance resistors company by master mechanic Oscar Heine. But after a short time, the development went far beyond a main supplier for the world-leading Dresdner cinema equipment industry, to the leading German manufacturer of special resistors.
In the post-war years, this tradition was continued, which resulted in another milestone in the history of HEINE.
As one of the most important special resistance manufacturers in Eastern Europe, the Oscar HEINE KG was finally nationalized in 1972. The re-privatization and, consequently, the entry in the commercial register as HEINE Spezialwiderstände GmbH took place in the year 1990, which was so important for Europe.
In the course of the internationalization 2003 followed the renaming of the medium-sized enterprise into HEINE Resistors GmbH. But that’s not enough. In order to better meet these challenges, our 100% subsidiary, HEINE Resistors (Suzhou) Co, Ltd., has been representing us in Asia since the end of 2005. China.
In January 2012, Microelettrica Scientifica S.p.A. (a member of the German Knorr Bremse Group) 100% of HEINE Resistors GmbH and thus completes their range of resistance products. Joint synergies and potentials should be gradually used for the benefit of both companies and their customers.
Also through our headquarters in Dresden, the state capital of Saxony, which brings good transport connections, we have established ourselves as one of the leading providers of power resistors and protective resistors. We deliver high quality products in no time – worldwide!
