ARISTO was founded in 1862 as a factory for mathematical and surveying equipment.
In the extraordinarily long company history, ARISTO u.a. made an international name as a provider of rulers and drawing aids. In addition, ARISTO has also been a pioneer in geometric data processing in Germany. Today, ARISTO is the leading German manufacturer of large-format computer-controlled flat bed machines for use in signmaking, digital diecutting, as well as in carton, textile and leather industries.
The machine generation of the ARISTOMAT flatbed plotters, which was first introduced in 1959, was built the following year with state-of-the-art track control systems and delivered to various demanding customers. Over time, the ARISTOMAT line evolved from a pure plotter to a CNC cutter. In 1995 and 1996, the ARISTOMAT was awarded the Innovation Prize of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. The machines are developed, manufactured and distributed worldwide exclusively in Hamburg. Sales and service centers all over the world ensure optimal care.
