BÖWE SYSTEC GmbH, headquartered in Augsburg, is at the forefront of Europe’s leading providers of high-performance inserting, card logistics and mailing, reading technologies, mail sorting and innovative software. The company is one of the world’s leading solution providers for modern print and mail processing centers, so-called mailrooms.

The company was founded in Augsburg in the early fifties. Its roots lie in cutting machines for endless documents. Later, powerful inserting systems, special systems for the dispatch of sensitive documents such as insurance policies and plastic cards as well as special software concepts were added – a development all the way to the global full-service provider for the mailroom.
Since 2010, BÖWE SYSTEC GmbH has been part of the Possehl Group, which generated sales of around 3.5 billion euros annually in the 2015 financial year, with around 12,000 employees worldwide.
