Ernst Fischer founded the company Fischer Maschinenbau in 1947 shortly before the currency reform. First, the location was in the “old slaughterhouse” and later in the city center of Freiburg “In the Green”, not far from the freight yard. Even then, not only butcher machines were sold, but service and repair capitalized.

His son Alfred Fischer took over the business in 1978 and expanded it into a renowned company.

In 1985 , the new building of today’s 300 m² workshop building was moved. A big advantage was the good traffic connection via A5 exit FR-Nord.

In 2001 , the long-time employees of Alfred Fischer “Manfred Rumbach and Rainer Rich” took over the company and founded today’s Fischer Fleischereimaschinen Maschinenbau OHG.

The name Fischer Maschinenbau und Fischer Fleischereimaschinen Maschinenbau OHG has stood for continuity and trust in sales, maintenance, repair and service for butcher machines for years.
