Over 180 years of tradition – innovation – design
Founded in 1838, Erismann & Cie. GmbH by far the most traditional companies in the wallpaper industry. For over 180 years, visionary products have been produced worldwide. The international design team creates wallpaper designs and materials according to the latest design and color trends.
In 2018, the Erismann Group employs around 550 people worldwide. In addition to the production site at the headquarters in Breisach, there is another modern production site in Woskresensk near Moscow since 2003, with which the distribution of the entire Eastern European area is controlled with wallpaper. A distribution company in Strasbourg, France and a sales office in England are also part of the group. The export share amounts to about 60% and is distributed to more than 70 countries worldwide. All in all, Erismann & Cie. GmbH annual sales of more than 100 million euros.
The current program includes over 5000 different references. This extensive assortment contains a wide variety of materials, samples and designs: it includes both structural and vinyl wallpaper on paper or non-woven substrates, paper embossed wallpaper, textile wallpaper and wallpaper in non-woven direct printing. The most modern rotary screen printing, gravure and registration systems are used for the production of these high-quality products. Our own laboratories and independent testing procedures guarantee highest product quality.
Environmental protection and sustainability are the focus of Erismann. All wallpapers of Erismann & Cie. Gmbh are phthalate-free, mostly RAL-tested and awarded the European ‘Air Indoor Comfort Gold’ certificate. All printing inks used are only water-soluble. In 2015, the company was certified as part of the energy management system according to DIN EN ISO 50001: 2011.
