The company is also culturally involved: the Inamori Foundation, which was founded by the company founder and named after him, awards the prestigious Kyoto Prize as one of the world’s most highly endowed awards for the lifetime achievements of high-ranking scientists and artists (currently approx. 764,000 euros).
