Mikron Rottweil belongs to Mikron Machining, a division of the Mikron Group. Mikron Machining is the leading supplier of customized, high-performance manufacturing systems for the manufacture of complex and high-precision metal components such as turbocharger housings, injectors and ballpoint pens. Mikron Machining develops and produces the high-performance cutting tools required for this purpose – they are among the best in the world.

The headquarters of Mikron Machining are located in Agno (Switzerland). Mikron Machining has developed and commissioned over 7,000 production systems to date. Its international customers operate in the automotive, electronics, telecommunications, consumer goods, construction, pneumatic and hydraulic industries. Mikron Machining employs around 580 people, distributed through the production companies Mikron SA Agno (Switzerland, headquarters), Mikron Tool SA Agno (Switzerland) and Mikron GmbH Rottweil (Germany) and the sales and service company Mikron Corp. Monroe (USA).
