SHW Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of traveling column milling machines and universal machining centers for large parts machining and is one of the internationally recognized specialists for machining.
The machines of SHW WM manufacture i.a. Large parts for mechanical and plant engineering, for large diesel engines, turbines, and environmental technology.
The head of every machine and heart of every system is the SHW universal milling head, which spans 50 years of development work and guarantees the uncompromising precision that today’s customers demand.
The competence of SHW WM, which is certainly unique in the industry, is based on more than 70 years of mechanical engineering experience – and a tradition dating back to the 14th century.
Innovation and tradition are closely linked at SHW WM. This is reflected both in the numerous SHW World Cup patents and in the consistent focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
The company builds machine tools that save more than 25% of its energy compared to similar machines, and in 2012 was awarded the NORTEC Award for Sustainability in Industrial Production.
