Founded in 1880 by Mathias Hatz, Hatz has developed in its 130-year history into the world’s leading manufacturer of diesel engines up to 56kW and is family-run to this day. The engines are mainly used in construction machinery, compressors, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery and aggregates and are popular because of their high quality and robustness.
The company Motorenfabrik Hatz employs approx. 1000 employees at 13 branches worldwide, 94 representations and 500 service centers in more than 100 countries, thereby ensuring a high level of service quality and efficient spare parts supply.
In addition to engine construction, Hatz manufactures high-precision metal components in the ‘Components’ business segment, especially for the automotive and commercial vehicle industry, agriculture and mechanical engineering. In addition, Hatz has a high level of expertise in system construction and develops and produces special units based on industrial motors and offers its customers tailor-made solutions.
