The J.P. Sauer & Sohn Maschinenbau GmbH is the parent company and headquarters of Sauer Kompressoren in the oldest location in Kiel, beautifully situated on the nearby Baltic Sea beach and the Kiel Canal. Renowned for its shipping tradition and the Kieler Woche, the maritime city of Kiel offers excellent logistical connections to Hamburg, which is just 100 km away, with its sea and airport.

From Kiel, the fortunes are directed by Sauer compressors. All important departments are united here: Sales & Marketing, Design & Design, Service & Training and Purchasing are each within a few steps, which is why decisions can be made quickly and flexibly through short distances. All subsidiaries are flexibly bound to Kiel headquarters and source the compressors directly from here.

Kiel is also the second largest production site. In addition to the completion of all types of low and medium pressure compressors arriving from Sauer from Zandov, high pressure compressors for marine and industry are manufactured exclusively here. Likewise, the final test bed run – with at least 16 hours per compressor – as well as most customer and classification acceptances in Kiel. So our customers can be sure to receive a product “Made in Germany”.
