About us
The name PINTSCH stands for safety and availability of safety-related products for railway infrastructure in national and international rail traffic.
Founded in Berlin in 1843 by Julius Pintsch, the company merges with Bamag Meguin AG in 1924. The focus has traditionally been on the lighting equipment and energy supply of railway carriages as well as the production and installation of beacons for shipping lanes. Over the years, the company’s activities have increasingly focused on railway signaling and lighting systems.
Today, 175 years later, PINTSCH BAMAG still holds a leading position in the development, approval and delivery of systems, components and related services in the safety-related railway infrastructure sector.
Together with its subsidiaries PINTSCH TIEFENBACH and PINTSCH ABEN, the company offers a comprehensive range of equipment and services for level crossing technology, axle counting systems, platform screen doors, signal, switch heating and shunting technology, tunnel safety and track lighting (lighting systems) and lighting systems.
PINTSCH BAMAG is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 and IRIS and holds product approvals from the world’s most important classification societies. In addition, the company is Q1 supplier of Deutsche Bahn AG.
