About us

Profile – who we are

Sit SteuerungTechnik GmbH specializes in the development and installation of control systems for conveyor systems. With around 160 employees, we realize tailor-made solutions for renowned international companies in the field of intralogistics.

Our focus is on the control technology for baggage handling systems, goods distribution centers and parcel sorting systems. In addition, in our “Retrofit” business unit we are converting existing systems to state-of-the-art control technology. Our customers benefit from comprehensive solutions – from the planning and development of the control system through installation and commissioning to service and maintenance.

The Sit SteuerungTechnik GmbH goes back to the engineering firm Grünnagel, Zoller + Partner, which was founded in 1971. In 1977, the name was changed to Sit SteuerungTechnik® GmbH based in Ettlingen near Karlsruhe. Another important milestone in our company’s history was the founding of a second location in Böblingen in Swabia in 2008.

Since 1 January 2011 Sit SteuerungTechnik GmbH is a subsidiary of the Dirks Group.

Our customers benefit from comprehensive solutions – from the technical design and functional design of the control system through electrical design, control cabinet construction and commissioning to software development and commissioning. And of course, when the system is up and running, we offer complete all-round service and regular maintenance of our control systems.
