About us
The GLEICH Group is a family business from Kaltenkirchen, near Hamburg. Founded in 1980 by Günter and Christel Gleich, the group of companies is now run by Roland Gleich in the second generation.
Since the mid-1990s, its core business has been the development, production and worldwide distribution of G.AL® precision aluminum plates. The brand name G.AL® stands for extremely low-warpage, dimensionally stable and homogeneous aluminum precision and mold boards with consistently good quality. G.AL® aluminum plates are used in mechanical engineering, in the laser and optical industry, medical technology, mold making and toolmaking. By saving on weight when using aluminum, GLEICH Aluminum helps to save valuable resources. At the same time, the simpler mechanical processing compared to steel is a frequently used cost and time advantage of the same customers.
EQUAL Aluminum today is one of the world’s leading producers of global aluminum precision plates, with more than 20,000 tonnes of G.AL® aluminum being sold worldwide each year by the group, with sales of € 70 million.
The group employs about 180 people and consists of nine parts: the holding and the main plant in Kaltenkirchen with central plate production, four independent service centers, two sales offices and a CNC machining center.
