EMS as an employer

The EMS group based in Domat / Ems (GR) operates in 16 countries. At our 26 production sites, we employ more than 2,300 people, including around 130 apprentices in 14 different occupations. We are mainly active in two business areas:

In the High Performance Plastics Division, we are the supplier with the widest range of polyamides. At the same time, we are the largest supplier of adhesives, sealing materials and coatings, including application systems for the automotive industry.

In the Specialty Chemicals division, we develop and produce fibers, hotmelt adhesives and adhesive yarns for technical and textile applications, adhesion promoters for high-performance tires, powder coating hardeners and reactive diluents. We also specialize in igniters for airbag inflators.

Information for learners

EMS-Chemie is the largest private training company in the canton of Graubünden. We have been successfully training apprentices since 1943. Currently we employ 130 apprentices in 14 different professions.
