Our core competence is all those methods of baking, which ensure an optimal baking result by a clever regulation of temperature, humidity and time. So we are specialists for fermenting, cooling, freezing and baking as well as for the smooth linking of these (and with pleasure also further) process steps.

The breadth of our products therefore ranges from the classic oven for artisan bakers to shop baking stations to fully automated large-scale systems, from intelligent fermentation and refrigeration systems to state-of-the-art loading and control technology. In addition to our consumption-optimized components, heat recovery and composite systems specially developed for the bakery ensure optimum energy efficiency. We combine all this with smart engineering to tailor-made system solutions.

The enterprise

Founded in 1919 by Michael Wenz in the Franconian town of Arnstein, MIWE is now known worldwide for its expertise and experience in the field of air-conditioning process stages in baking, automation technology and plant construction. As the inventor of visual and fragrant baking, i. baking in the store, MIWE revolutionized the baked goods market in the 1970s. Since 2002, the steadily expanding company has been managed by Sabine Michaela Wenz in the third generation. With nine subsidiaries (in the USA, Canada, Russia, Austria, France, Italy, Singapore, UAE and Switzerland), as well as 50 agencies, MIWE has grown to an international size. However, the bakery technology for the world market is still produced in Germany: At the two production sites in Arnstein and nearby Meiningen, the medium-sized company employs more than 700 people and convinces through constant growth, a high level of technical innovation and a corporate culture, its own initiative in particular promotes.
