Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the company employs approximately 7,700 people worldwide and generated $ 6.1 billion in sales in 2017. Of the approximately 2,500 employees of Celanese in Europe, about 1,600 work at our six locations in Germany: in the Rhine-Main area (Frankfurt-Höchst and Sulzbach am Taunus), Kaiserslautern, Oberhausen, Utzenfeld and Wehr. We are also training at four of our German locations. The Industriepark Höchst and the neighboring Commercial Center, based in Sulzbach (Taunus), together with around 1,300 employees in the Rhine-Main area, form Celanese’s largest location network worldwide. Of these, almost 300 employees work at the Commercial Center in Sulzbach in cross-business functions such as sales, purchasing, marketing and human resources.
