Primetals Technologies is a joint venture of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Siemens. Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery (MHMM), a subsidiary of MHI, with equity interests in Hitachi, Ltd. and IHI Corporation holds 51% of the shares and Siemens 49% of the joint venture. The company employs approximately 7,000 people worldwide.
