Power Systems – a part of Rolls-Royce plc. in England – offers integrated marine and infrastructure systems solutions, focusing on digitization and electrification. The company, headquartered in Friedrichshafen, employs around 10,000 people. Under the MTU brand, we develop and produce high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land and rail vehicles, military vehicles, and the oil and gas industry. Our goal is to make diesel engines even cleaner and smarter: we focus on electrified propulsion systems, alternative fuels and energy sources such as gas. Under the MTU Onsite Energy brand, we offer our customers diesel generators for emergency power, ground and peak loads as well as combined heat and power units based on gas engines. With regard to the energy turnaround, we rely primarily on microgrids, i. autonomous power systems that are efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly. In Bergen, Norway, we develop and produce under the Rolls-Royce brand medium-speed engines for ships and the power supply.
