Atotech is one of the world’s leading suppliers of specialty chemicals and equipment for the printed circuit board, chip carrier and semiconductor industries as well as decorative and functional surface refinement. Atotech realizes $ 1.2 billion in 2017 and focuses on sustainability by developing technologies that are proven to reduce waste and protect the environment. Headquartered in Berlin, Atotech employs approximately 4,000 people worldwide in over 40 countries. Around a quarter of the workforce work at the four locations in Germany: Berlin, Feucht, Neuruppin and Trebur.
Company History:

Atotech was formed in 1993 from a merger of the Elf Atotech group of companies with M & T Harshaw and Schering’s electroplating division. Schering already had many years of experience and developments dating back to 1901. When the company TotalFina and Elf Aquitaine merged in 2000 to Total, the world’s fifth largest oil and gas supplier, Atotech subsidiary of the Total group was. Since 2017, Atotech has been an independent, independent company.
