The ZVEI is committed to the common interests of the electrical industry in Germany and internationally. This commitment is supported by around 160 employees in the main office and more than 5,000 members of the member companies in the honorary office.
Pacemaker of progress
The basis of the association’s work is the exchange of experience and opinions between the members on current technical, economic, legal and socio-political issues in the field of the electrical industry. From this common positions are worked out.
With proposals for research, technology, environmental protection, education and science policy, ZVEI is the pacemaker of technological progress. He supports a market-related international standardization and standardization work.
Strong membership
More than 1,600 companies have decided to become members of the ZVEI. They employ about 90 percent of the employees in the electrical industry in Germany. Its members include global players as well as medium-sized and family businesses.
